Almost every conceivable denomination has a presence here in our neighborhood. We also offer some of the oldest religious structures in New York City, like the First Shearith Israel Cemetery at 55–57 St James Place. This tiny graveyard was used in the seventeen century. Many of our churches have been passed from one congregation to another, such as the Church of the Most Precious Blood at 109 Mulberry Street, which now offers services in Vietnamese, instead of in Italian as in years passed.
